Frugal Living By Carpooling

Want a really cool frugal tip? I thought this might make people think for a few minutes here. Ok, you know how the gas prices have been rising, right? There is a lot to be said regarding carpooling. I recommend carpooling because it’s a great way to make friends & establish potential business connections. I have done this because I hate driving; yes I am the one who curves in & out of the lanes, flips people off, cuts off unexpectedly then laughs about it. My windows aren’t tinted either. Well, I got tired of people copying my license plates so I got on my trusty laptop one day after seeing this guy get out of the vehicle that obviously didn’t have any relevance to him except on the side it said, looking to save gas? Ride with us.

That’s a good idea I thought to myself. I looked around everywhere and I found this place online that advertised exactly that. I called the number, talked to this lady who surprisingly had a lot in common with me. She said I was en route the same place she went every morning. My first morning being picked up was a bit of a thrill. I was doing exactly what mama said never to do. Get in cars with strangers! These were a whole different breed of strangers, I reasoned with myself. Ride arrived right on time. Cool people seemed to be the gut feeling I was having for all 4 people crammed in the car with me. It wasn’t that bad, the people were quiet, probably just woke up. I was dropped off at the front door. Friendly goodbyes and see you tonight’s were exchanged. 8-9 hours passed, time to go home. The group was waiting for me as I came out. They were definitely in a happier mood. There was laughter, funny jokes and friendly bantering all around. To make a long story short, we all have became great friends because we all shared a similar ideal of saving gas.
